The Florida Times-Union and Action News Jacksonville have both sent reporters to Secret Woods this week as the neighborhood continues to seek help from the city, state and/or FEMA to get debris from Hurricane Matthew removed from Pottsburg Creek.

“We are now in hurricane season and we feel like ‘sitting ducks’ just waiting for the first storm that will cause huge flood damage to our homes,” Secret Woods Board President David Theus wrote last month in a letter addressed both to City Hall and U.S. Rep. John Rutherford, R-Jacksonville.
