Secret Woods Pool Getting $26,500 Upgrade


Classic Marcite will be refurbishing the Secret Woods pool and is expected to finish by the time warmer temperatures arrive.

MINUTES

  1. Certifed Quorum: Sallie, Dan, Ramses, Tracey, Rebecca, Matt. Guests: Byron (thank you for hosting!)
  2. Call to Order
  3. Approval of Previous Minutes from December: approved
  4. Financials
    1. Report: Expenses and Balances. Monthly budget has been updated. Bills are caught up.

 

  1. Old Business
    1. Reconcile Financials: Debbie’s Accounting audited fiscal years 18-20 and everything balanced. The cost was much cheaper than anticipated: $165.00.
    2. Mail: Package Box 1254A pending.
    3. Neighborhood Library install: The neighborhood library was installed last Saturday near the mailboxes. Happy reading!
    4. Pool Refurbish: Dan and Sallie. The board voted and approved using Classic Marcite to refurbish the interior of the pool. There is a significant savings of $7000 in choosing Classic Marcite over ASP. The entire refurbishment process should take around 2 months and will cost $26, 500. Discussion of adding coating on the railing, so it’s not reflective/hot.
    5. Food Truck Friday: Set for March

  1. New Business
    1. What to do with the yard of the month sign: Rebecca to print/laminate instructions for the yard of the month sign. Discussion about repairing a corner of the sign that is damaged.
    2. Raising the dues/special assessment: Board voted on and approved 10% increase in annual dues. This will help with the costs of pool refurbishment and future work to be done on the deck and restrooms.
    3. Miscellaneous and Lot Concerns
  2. Violations. Still watching 2 lots, small improvements on both.
  3. Architectural Review Committee: nothing new this month
  4. Items from Board Members & guests

Dan. Dan talked about a recent home sale and volunteered to deliver a welcome letter and instructions on P.O. box keys and initiation fee. He also discussed recovering on a lien using the proceeds from a foreclosure sale after the mortgages are paid off, as allowed by law. Dan will consult a lawyer, and if lien recovery looks good, he wants to proceed. The board approved lawyer fees not to exceed $500. Dan speculated the income to be about $2K.

 

Signboard on Goodnow Rd.: Byron. Discussion of replacing the glass because it is becoming hazy.
