Minutes from Board Meeting July 9, 2007

 

Meeting called to order at 6:30 PM  and was held at Publix Supermarket on Southside Blvd in the conference room at the back of the store.

Board members Wayne Williams, Ken Peterson, Mary Loving, Katherine Frazier and Jim Huttle attended; Dale Elzie and Gary Bassett were absent

Association members also in attendance were John Sitting, Byron DeLong, John Loving and April Coleman.

 The Minutes from the June 11, 2007 meeting were read and approved.

 The Treasurer’s report for the month of  June 2007.  May 31, 2007  balance in checking was $23,722.53.  Income $10,957.81.  Expenses  $2,024.19.  June 30, 2007  balance $32,656.15.  (2) C.D.’s $17,500.

The unfinished business discussed included the lone homeowner who had not paid dues.  Legal action was begun to secure payment.  The open letter to the neighborhood concerning issues which need improvement was mailed.  The newly updated mailing list was effective.  Pool rules were included in the mailing due to a few new issues regarding pool use and misuse.  A new, permanent, pool rules sign will be installed soon.  Tennis court screens have been researched by Katherine Frazier and will be purchased by the end of fiscal year. 

 Under new business the Neighborhood Garage Sale is being planned for Saturday August 25 from 7 AM until 3 PM.  The Association will provide advertising and other plans will be finalized by the next meeting.

 The meeting was adjourned  at 8:00 PM
