MINUTES OF ANNUAL SECRET WOODS NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION MEETING

 DATE:  MAY 5, 2008

 LOCATION:  SOUTHPOINT BAPTIST CHURCH

 QUORUM ESTABLISHED:  When a quorum (minimum 42 homeowners) was established the meeting began at 6:40PM.  

 Meeting was called to order; minutes from the 2007 Annual Meeting were read by Wayne Williams and accepted as read.  The treasurers’ report, a written financial statement, was also read and accepted.

 COMPLETED BUSINESS:

 *Dues:  All dues were collected by July 1, 2007.

*Compliance Letter:  A neighborhood mailing urging Covenant compliance was completed and mailed.

*Pool House:  The exterior of the pool house was replaced with Hardi-board.

*Basketball goal:  A new basketball goal was installed.

*Fountain:  The fountain in the front pond was replaced.

*Pool Regulations:  New signage was installed at the pool to comply with city regulations.

*Garage Sale:  Two successful neighborhood garage sales were held,

*Luminaries:  Luminary Night was a very successful event.

*Holiday Decorations:  A committee toured the neighborhood and selected several homes that best represented chosen categories.

*Newsletter:  A neighborhood newsletter was started.

*Chili Cook-Off:  A very successful chili cook-off was held in March.

*Pool Umbrellas:  New pool umbrellas have been installed.

*Pressure Wash:  The pool deck has been pressure washed.

 UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

 *Pool Furniture:  The purchase of new pool furniture is pending awaiting several bids.

*Water Fountain:  A new cold water fountain needs to be installed.  Awaiting bids.

*Red Tips:  Red Tip shrubs at the entrance need to be replaced.  Awaiting bids.

*New Pool Service:  Awaiting bids for pool maintenance service.

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Several committees with volunteer members are needed to share the responsibilities to maintain our neighborhood.  A Captain of the Block Captains is also needed.
