4. Old business
 Pool service - Ross is lead.  Finding a new service is still work in progress.
Received a complaint about algae in the pool, apparently at one point in time the pool took on a green color.  Pool service responded and corrected the problem.  Many are of the opinion that the pool is not looking as good as we would like.  It would be helpful to have the current pool maintenance contract as guideline for soliciting new bids, but no one seems to know where it is.  The current maintenance company was selected based on the good job the company had done when the pool was resurfaced.
 
Unpaid dues - one lot still outstanding.  A registered letter was sent to the homeowner, received 08-01, still no response.  The matter will now be turned over to our attorney for collections.
 
Pool key charge policy - current policy is $25 for replacement keys.  Changes being considered, still work in progress.  Tabled for now, will revisit around march timeframe.    Suggestion was made to have a pool key lost & found.
 
Tennis court screen - Kathrine & Gary are leads.  Much discussion about poly vs mesh, grommets vs not, etc.  We have a few quotes for replacing the screen altogether, vs just the damaged sections.  Decided we want to gather one or two more quotes and maybe review some fabric samples before final decision.  a local provider would be preferred.  Approved $1400 expenditure for replacement, to come out of misc. expenses.  (above budget)

5. New business
  Covenant violations & complaints -
     Lot 69 - four satellite antennas on side of house - FCC regulations severely limit our ability to enforce any covenants restricting satellite dishes.
     Lot 70 - unsightly video cable run across roof - rob to contact owner about rerouting cable.
 
Proposed change of board meeting dates - future regular board meetings to be held on the 3rd Monday of the month, to avoid conflict with another neighborhood community meeting.  (ed. note: thanks)
 
Late fee policy - potential changes to late fee policy discussed.  No changes made.  The board sincerely thanks homeowners who continue to pay their association dues in a timely manner.  Roughly 14 properties were assessed late charges this year.  We will try and improve communications before the next round of dues via reminders at the mailbox and earlier mail outs.
 
 New flag - approved purchase of new flag for the front entrance.  Rob to see about repairing the flag spotlight.
 
6.Miscellaneous
  Pool etiquette - gratitude expressed for new 'pool etiquette' posting, the tone is less harsh than before, and therefore more representative of the current board's sentiments.  It was recommended to post them in the pool area in addition to the mailbox board.
 
Leasing restrictions - discussed feasibility of amending covenants to require legal conditions be placed on any lease agreements.  Currently the property owner is solely responsible for covenant compliance.  the ironwood subdivision on gate parkway was cited as an example of a community with this requirement in place.  No official proposal made.
Pressure washing - Beth is lead.  Getting quotes.
 
Pool house gate hinge repair - Gary is lead.  Work in progress.
 
Pool parties - there is a feeling that some of the pool parties have been getting out of hand.  in lieu of more specific guidelines, homeowners are requested to keep pool party attendance at a level that will still allow other homeowners to use the facility without exceeding maximum capacity allowed by health department and fire marshal.  Party hosts are also asked to take home any trash generated rather than leaving it on the street in front of the pool house.
